Back in the 80s, Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie got together to write a song for Africa and was performed by all the who's-who of that era, which include names like Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Bruce Springstein, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Cyndi Lauper, Bob Dylan, Ray Charles, Billy Joel, Huey Lewis, and Willie Nelson (to name a few).
This first vid here is the original "We are the World."
The second video here is the remake made just recently that was played for the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in honour of Haiti. This remake also has the who's-who of musical artists, except for our era. Clearly its meant to appeal to all sorts of age categories as there are some random combo's of people and styles, but it's still pretty fun to see who's all in it!
Try and see how many people you can recognize!!
